Niels Hobolt joined Napatech as CFO in 2007 and works out of the Copenhagen office with a focus on the scalability of the business and support of strategic initiatives. Niels has more than 15 years of experience from various positions within the financial industry.
Prior to joining Napatech, he had extensive experience from a number of different companies, both in the IT and pharmaceutical industries. Most recently, Niels worked for Lundbeck, a Danish pharmaceutical company, where he held a number of financial positions, including that of investor relations officer. He also served as project lead responsible for implementing management control systems. Prior to this, Niels was responsible for the controlling team in a large Danish IT infrastructure supplier.
Flemming Andersen is Executive Vice President of Engineering at Napatech, heading up the R&D team located in Copenhagen. Flemming is responsible for driving Napatech’s engineering activities and ensuring that the R&D team continually develops cutting-edge solutions that fulfill customer needs. This includes process, organizational, and technology development at operational and strategic levels, as well as directing project planning and execution. Flemming has more than 25 years of experience working with product development and engineering management in the datacom/telecom industry.
Prior to Napatech, he was head of the HW Project Office in Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, Entry Division. From 2002 to 2006, Flemming worked as R&D manager for Danish Interpretation Systems (now Shure) and then GN Netcom. In 2001 he co-founded next-generation Ethernet start-up Firstmile Systems and worked as VP of engineering. From 1997 to 2001, Flemming worked for Intel as HW manager at the Converged Communications Division in Denmark, where he was responsible for the creation of hardware platforms for the Intel® Express Router portfolio. Prior to this, he held various development engineer positions in Cray Communications, NKT Elektronik (now Tellabs) and GN Elmi (now Anritsu). Flemming Andersen holds an M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Danish Technical University and a graduate diploma in business administration from Copenhagen Business School.
Peter Ekner is CTO at Napatech and manages the team that is located in Copenhagen. Peter oversees Napatech’s existing product portfolio, as well as ensuring that product strategies are in line with market requirements. Peter has more than 15 years of experience working with design of products and components for network equipment.
Prior to his current role, he served as FPGA development manager at Napatech from 2007. Peter has extensive knowledge of how to develop complex technical products from various engineering related positions in start-up companies and large corporations. Prior to joining Napatech, he worked as an ASIC specialist on a disposable medical infusion device for a Danish healthcare company. Previously, Peter held key technical positions in two start-up companies working with backplane switching technology and Free Space Optics (FPO) communication technology. From 1997 to 2004, Peter held various positions at Intel in Denmark and in San Diego, CA, United States. He worked on ASICs for Intel’s Express Switch product family and he was part of the team responsible for the IEEE 802.3 Wi-Fi component of the Intel Centrino brand. Peter Ekner holds an M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Danish Technical University.
Andrew Patterson is Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Support at Napatech and leads the company's sales and support organization, with a focus on driving business and securing continued strong customer relationships. Andrew has more than 15 years’ experience driving sustainable growth in IT products and professional services for international clients.
Prior to joining the Napatech team, Andrew served for four years as managing director and CEO of Complete Pixel in the UAE and drove substantial growth in an entrepreneurial environment during this period. From 2009-2012, he was director of international sales at IQinVision, where he was responsible for sales of the company’s IP-based electronic surveillance products outside the Americas. Prior to IQinVision, he covered a variety of executive positions within sales, business development and technical services in many international companies. Andrew Patterson holds a bachelor’s degree from Hanover College and also holds multiple industry certifications in technical sales.

Lars Thoresen joined Verdane Capital’s Oslo office in 1999. He was formerly a senior associate at Braxton Associates, London, where he advised companies in the European IT and telecom industries. Prior to this, Lars was a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting. At Verdane, Lars has headed up several acquisitions of portfolio of direct investments as well as individual companies, such as Nordic Venture Partners, Ferd, and EasyPark. He has also been instrumental in building companies such as Opera Software, Liaison Technologies, and CRF Health, the former from first investment through to IPO. CRF Health was recently sold to Vitruvian Partners following years of profitable growth in Europe and the US.
Lars has been managing partner at Verdane since 2008, co-managing since 2012, a position he currently holds. He joined the board of Napatech in April 2015 (listed OSE). Lars Thoresen holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a BSc in Finance from St. John’s University, New York (USA).
Bjørn Erik Reinseth is currently the CEO of the family office Foinco, an investment company. From 2005 to 2013 he served as Partner in Ferd Capital/Ferd Venture successfully doing venture and buy-out investments. Bjørn Erik has also founded and run his own management consultancy. He has experience from listed and public companies as CEO of Sense Communications International ASA (OSX), a mobile telecom operator, and as CMO/EVP Products & Strategy of NetCom ASA (OSX), the number two mobile operator in Norway. He also served as Managing Director of the Norwegian broadband communication company Bredbåndsfabrikken AS and has a broad experience in the telecom/ICT industry. He has also worked as a Research Fellow at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) in Geneva.
He is a Norwegian citizen and resides in Norway. Bjørn Erik Reinseth holds a B.Sc. Hons in Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK, and additional management courses from BI Norwegian School of Management and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Howard Bubb has served as a public company CEO, corporate executive, venture backed entrepreneur, professional mentor and management consultant. Bubb has been consulting since 2009, repositioning struggling businesses, defining new market categories, and launching new business units to achieve high growth and dominant market segment share. A strong leader of people, he blends strategy and execution skills with a keen ability to engage talent.
Howard Bubb is currently CEO of SARTA, a non-profit organization working with local companies, education and government to accelerate the growth of regional technology businesses.
On a global scale, Howard Bubb transformed the communications business at Intel from a mix of acquisitions into an integrated and cohesive $1.7B business unit. The division grew to become number one in its markets and went on to become one of the highest growth businesses at Intel for several years.
Bubb earned a Bachelor of Science degree, from California Institute of Technology in 1976. He is a US citizen and resides in California, US.
