Some appliances, e.g. in-line devices, have requirements for the packet-handling latency.
When the Napatech Network Adapter is transferring frames to the server memory, the application will by default get access to these frames, when a certain amount of network frames has been received.
This gives an efficient server processing of frames and is well suited for many analysis applications, but it can result in some frame latency.
For real-time applications this can easily be changed so that network data is delivered to the application with a fixed low maximum latency.
