Napatech Software Suite: NTPL

Napatech Programming Language (NTPL) is an interpreted scripting language and can be used for adapter filter configuration.  NTPL commands are designed for ease of use. These commands can be used in application software, in configuration scripts or can be executed on-the-fly using Napatech command line Ntpl Tool.

NTPL commands can be inserted into application code based on the Napatech Application Programming Interface (NTAPI).

NTAPI function calls and NTPL commands can be mixed in the same application for maximum flexibility in programming style and application control.

When the LibPCAP API library are used, an NTPL command file configures the PCAP devices.

Prototyping with Ntpl Tool

NTPL commands can be issued on a command line using Ntpl tool for prototyping, filters can be changed on the fly, hash key generation can be changed, multi-CPU buffer splitting can be changed etc..

This can be done without the need to write a single line of application code nor the need for recompilations.

Commands can simply be typed one by one on a command line and be placed in a command file or customer application code.
