Napatech today announced the acquisition of key intellectual property and business access from Xyratex, a leading provider of enterprise data storage subsystems and network technology, listed on Nasdaq.

 

Napatech has been able to augment their own leading next-generation product lines and this transaction enables them to offer customers a complete portfolio of programmable network adapters for a multitude of applications.

Napatech today announced the investment of $5 million from Ferd Venture, Northzone Ventures and DTU Innovation. Napatech is the leader in programmable high speed Ethernet network adapters. The investment coincides with Napatech’s acquisition of the network adapter business of storage solution leader Xyratex.

Napatech’s solutions enable OEM customers to scale network monitoring appliances, traffic analyzers and recorders, testers and security products to the rapidly growing Ethernet speeds and traffic load. The solutions enable many applications by off-loading CPU/memory and bus architectures.
