    Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award

    Napatech today announced that the NT20E2 intelligent network adapter has been selected as a recipient of the 2010 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award.

    Announcement of 4 port 10G adapter

    Napatech today announced the introduction of a new 4 port 10 GbE intelligent network adapter. The NT40E2-4 provides the same extensive feature set at double the port density of the NT20E2 (2 ports 10G).

    The announcement of the NT40E2-4 follows the recent announcement of the award winning NT40E2-1 single port 40 GbE network adapter, the world’s first 40 GbE intelligent network adapter, which is now shipping to customers. The new NT40E2-4 provides the same features and performance for both SONET/SDH and Ethernet interfaces.

    Napatech wins Best of Show Award at Interop Tokyo

    Napatech, the world leading provider of intelligent adapters for network analysis, has won the Interop Tokyo Best of Show Award - Grand Prix for outstanding products in the category for test and measurement products.

    At the event, held in Tokyo, Japan earlier this month, Napatech’s recently released NT40E2-1 40 GbE adapter for network analysis was chosen as the winner by a jury with members from leading ICT academics, business community, and media experts.

    Napatech Expands in South Korea

    Napatech today announced the opening of a new office in Seoul, South Korea. This continues Napatech’s expansion in the Asia Pacific region following the opening of Napatech’s Tokyo office in 2010.
     
    “We see a lot of potential in the Asia Pacific region and the response since we opened our office in Tokyo has been very encouraging”, stated Erik Norup, CMO Napatech. “Some of the leading global OEM vendors in network monitoring, security and test are based in South Korea and we expect to see a similar positive response now that our South Korean office is officially opened.”
     
    The new Napatech office will provide local sales and support to the growing number of Napatech customers in South Korea.

    Napatech Software Suite makes appliance consolidation a reality

    Napatech today released the first version of the recently announced Napatech Software Suite including features that make development of multi-port, multi-application network appliances faster and easier.
     

    The Napatech Software Suite release includes functionality for merging data from ports on multiple Napatech network adapters into a single stream for analysis. In addition, data sharing features allow this single stream of data to be accessed simultaneously by multiple applications. The combination of these features allows high port density, high-speed network appliances to be developed supporting more than one application.

    Napatech Enables Virtualized Appliances

    Napatech is to demonstrate a new VMware-based data distribution solution for virtual network appliances at Interop Las Vegas (8th to the 12th of May). The virtualization solution allows multiple network appliances to be consolidated onto a single server platform without having to change the application or the operating system. Napatech’s network adapters ensure that each virtual network appliance receives the data it requires at full line rate with zero packet loss.

    Napatech and Spirent Communications demonstrate 40G virtualized data center performance at Interop 2011

    Napatech announces 40G network adapter

    Napatech today announced the introduction of the world’s first 40 Gbps Ethernet adapter for network monitoring and analysis. The NT40E2-1 intelligent network adapter provides a single QSFP-based 40 GbE port and can be used for both packet capture and transmission.
     
    The NT40E2-1 is one of the very first 40 GbE network adapters on the market, but in contrast to other vendors, Napatech focuses exclusively on the needs of network appliance vendors for full packet capture and transmission with zero packet loss.
     

     “The challenges of network monitoring and analysis at 40 Gbps are substantial and dedicated network adapter hardware help ensure appliances can keep up”, stated Seamus Crehan, President, Crehan Research. “These types of products were early adopters of 10 GbE network adapters and will likely derive a lot of value from 40 GbE adapters”.

    nPulse to Demonstrate Worlds™ First Commercial Suricata Implementation at RSA 2011

    Building intelligent mobile data services using scaleable DPI

    New whitepapers released by Napatech suggest that Deep Packet Inspection technology can be used to help mobile carriers offer more intelligent mobile data services and thereby ensure that mobile revenues keep pace with growing network traffic.
