    Napatech announced the availability of on-board IEEE1588 PTP support

    Napatech today announced the availability of on-board IEEE1588 PTP (Precision Time Protocol) support on Napatech 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps intelligent network adapters. This will allow Napatech customers to synchronize appliances using Napatech intelligent network adapters to an IEEE1588 PTP master or to use Napatech network adapters as an IEEE15888 PTP master for other systems.

    Napatech announces 1G platform refresh

    Napatech today announced a comprehensive refresh of the existing family of 4x1 Gbps intelligent network adapters. The planned refresh will take advantage of the latest feature enhancements available on Napatech 10 Gbps and 40 Gbps intelligent network adapters as well as providing the capacity to support future product and feature enhancements. This ensures that Napatech customers can provide a uniform, high performance offering from Megabits to 40 Gigabits per second and beyond.

    Napatech introduces Time Synchronization Endpoint for IEEE1588 PTP retrofit

    Napatech today introduced a new time synchronization endpoint unit supporting the IEEE1588 PTP time synchronization protocol. The Napatech Time Synchronization Endpoint (NTTSE) can be installed as an IEEE1588 PTP slave and allows Napatech customers to synchronize appliances using Napatech intelligent network adapters to an IEEE1588 PTP master.

    Commenting on Frost & Sullivan's recent analysis on the Global Gigabit Ethernet Test Equipment Market that predicts significant growth in mobile backhaul will drive demand for Gigabit Ethernet testing systems, Napatech says that, with 4G services now launching across the globe, demand for high-speed mobile communications and test systems can only get stronger.

    Napatech Synchronized Traffic Generation for LTE Testing

    Napatech recently released advanced features for synchronized traffic generation that can be beneficial for testing of 4th Generation mobile networks, such as Long Term Evolution (LTE).

    The Napatech synchronized traffic generation features, available on the latest Napatech intelligent network adapters, allow full load traffic to be generated from multiple systems at multiple geographic locations with nanosecond time precision. In the case of LTE, this functionality can be used to simulate multiple devices accessing the mobile network and supported services at precisely the same time.

    Suricata support for Napatech network adapters now available

    The Open Information Security Foundation (OISF) today announced support in the latest release of Suricata for Napatech intelligent network adapters. This will allow network security equipment vendors to quickly and efficiently build high performance 1Gbps, 10 Gbps and 40 Gbps Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) using off-the-shelf standard servers and Napatech network adapters seamlessly integrated into Suricata based application software.

    Napatech announces new 4x1 Gbps In-line network adapter with bypass

    Napatech today announced the availability of a new 4x1 Gbps In-line network adapter with bypass functionality for high performance Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) applications. Designed for use in off-the-shelf standard servers, the NT4E2-4T-BP provides comprehensive bypass functionality for assurance of in-line connections while also providing intelligent flow identification and distribution to up to 32 server CPU cores. This allows IPS applications to improve throughput performance on a per CPU core basis while assured that every packet can be examined at full load.

    Kontron and Napatech to exhibit carrier grade network analysis demo during Mobile World Congress 2012

    Kontron and Napatech today announced a technology collaboration to demonstrate a live telecom network analysis platform based on the off-the-shelf, NEBS-compliant Kontron communication rackmount server CG2100 and Napatech NEBS-compliant adapter cards. The integrated demo platform is targeted at telecom equipment manufacturers (TEMs) who seek a significantly improved time to market for the design of network monitoring, management, security, and test and optimization applications. Live product demonstrations will be hosted by Napatech at booth 2G28, Hall 2.0 during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 27 – March 1, 2012.

    Napatech selected as finalist in Network Computing Awards 2012

    Napatech has once again been selected as one of the finalists in the Network Computing awards for 2012. The Napatech 40Gbps NT40E2-1 network adapter has been selected in the “Testing and Monitoring Product of the Year” category.  This follows the selection of the Napatech NT20E2 as a finalist for the Network Computing award for 2010 in the category “New Product of the Year”.
