Time Synchronization Cables

To time-synchronize Napatech network adapters, they must be connected via a time synchronization cable.

Cabling Methods for Napatech Time Synchronization Products: 

Adapter-to-Adapter Time Synchronization:

• Internal cable in the server by using the connectors on the PCBs
• External cable to the server via a time synchronization connector on the front plate

Multi-Adapter Time Synchronization:

• Internal daisy chaining by using connectors on the PCBs
  
• External cables to the Time Synchronization Unit
• External cables to the Time Synchronization Endpoint, which is further connected to an IEEE 1588-2008 PTP v2 network
