The NT40E2-4 Capture Adapter is a high-performance 4 x 10 Gbps intelligent PCIe Gen2 network analysis adapter for Capture & Replay applications. The adapter provides 4 x 10 Gbps throughput to the host application, while leaving more than 95% of the CPU resources to run customer applications.
Packet capture of Ethernet and SONET/SDH
The NT40E2-4 Capture provides support for both Ethernet 10 Gbps LAN and WAN PHY variants (as specified in IEEE 802.3) allowing Ethernet frames to be captured at full line-rate.
Designed for Off-the-Shelf Standard Servers
The NT40E2-4 Capture Adapter supports SFP+ transceivers and can be installed in almost any standard server.
High-Speed for Packet Capture, Replay and Traffic Generation
The adapter is ideal for capture and replay of 4 x 10 Gbps traffic for analysis and troubleshooting, preserving the exact traffic flow and timing structure. The adapter can simultaneously capture on 2 ports and transmit on 2 ports - at line rate with zero packet loss. For traffic generation the adapter transmits frames generated on the fly by the application or replays traffic from disc as recorded.
Precise Time Stamp
The NT40E2-4 Capture supports 4 ns time-stamping of both captured and transmitted frames. Timing can be synchronized to GPS, CDMA or IEEE 1588v2/PTP. An external SMA time synchronization connector is complemented by two internal time synchronization connectors allowing daisy-chain distribution of timing signals.
