NT4E NEBS In-Line Adapter
The NT4E-NEBS In-Line Adapter is designed for Telecom inline packet analysis applications, which require compliance with NEBS recommendations.
Intelligent In-Line Adapter for Operation under Extreme Conditions
The NT4E-NEBS provides the same high performance and feature set as the NT4E In-Line Adapter, but features enhanced hardware capable of operating under extreme conditions with high reliability.
Compliant with Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) for Telecom
The NT4E-NEBS In-line Adapter is compliant with Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Level 3 design guidelines as well as extended requirements from major US Telecom carriers.
NEBS compliant In-Line Adapter in Standard Servers
Napatech NEBS compliant network adapters in NEBS compliant Standard Servers provide a high-performance and reliable, yet cost-effective development platform for Telecom-grade network monitoring, analysis, test and optimization systems. This allows TEMS (Telecom Equipment Manufacturers) to quickly develop and certify higher performance systems.
Key In-line Features
- Data merging
-
Frame decoding
-
Filtering
-
UDP/TCP/IP CRC check and generation
-
Line-speed local retransmit at zero host CPU load
These features enable a significant frame processing off-load for any host system.
Multi-CPU buffering
The Napatech multi-CPU buffering feature enables data processing on 32 CPU cores.
Minimal CPU Load
The NT4E In-line Adapters are ideal for 4 Gbps applications that require hardware acceleration with maximum throughput and minimal CPU load. Layer 2 to 4 traffic analysis, filtering, OS bypass and balanced multi-CPU traffic processing are some of the very advanced features, which ensure that all relevant traffic is quickly transferred to the appropriate application without impacting CPU performance.
Transparent In-Line device
A frame can be retransmitted with the same Ethernet CRC and IFG as received, enabling the in-line device to be 100% transparent.
Electrical and Optical Gigabit Interfaces
The NT4E In-line Adapters support a total of 4 Ethernet ports in 2 different configurations as either 4 electrical or 4 optical gigabit interfaces.
